Detour Information

Phase 1

Closures/Restrictions:

• Closed for Entire Phase – Exit ramp from Northbound I-95 to Westbound SR 273. Advanced warning will be given before this ramp is to be closed. (This ramp will be closed from 9 PM on March 29, 2021 to 6 AM on April 29, 2021, pending weather).

• Closed minimally during restricted night-time hours – Exit ramp from Southbound I-95 to Eastbound SR 273. Advanced warning will be given before this ramp is to be closed. (This ramp will be closed at night (9PM to 6AM) starting March 15 to March 18, 2021, pending weather.)

• Traffic on the exit ramp from Southbound I-95 to Eastbound SR 273 will be shifted to the outside during construction
• Traffic on Eastbound SR 273 will be shifted to the inside and the outside shoulder will be closed for bridge repairs
• Traffic on the ramp from Eastbound SR 273 to Northbound I-95 will be shifted to the outside for construction

Phase 2

Closures/Restrictions:

• Entrance ramp from Westbound SR 273 to Southbound I-95. Advanced warning will be given before this ramp is to be closed.

• Closed minimally during restricted night-time hours – Exit Ramp from Southbound I-95 to Eastbound SR 273. Advanced warning will be given before this ramp is to be closed. (This ramp will be closed for a few consecutive nights (9PM to 6AM) during Phase 2. Dates TBD.)

• Traffic on the exit ramp from Southbound I-95 to Westbound SR 273 will be shifted to the outside away from new ramp construction
• Traffic on Westbound SR 273 will be shifted to the inside and the outside lane and shoulder will be closed for the pavement widening
• Traffic on the exit ramp from Southbound I-95 to Eastbound SR 273 will be shifted to the inside for construction
• Closed during very restricted night-time hours – All of SR 273 will have a rolling road block to install the new overhead sign. Advanced warning will be given before this closure.

Phase 2A

Closures/Restrictions:

• All Phase 2 Closures/Restrictions still apply to Phase 2A
• Traffic on Westbound SR273 will be merged down to one lane and shifted to the inside, and the outside lanes and shoulder will be closed for bridge repairs

Phase 3

Closures/Restrictions:

• Closed minimally during restricted night-time hours – Exit Ramp from Southbound I-95 to Eastbound SR 273. Advanced warning will be given before this ramp is to be closed. (This ramp will be closed for a few consecutive nights (9PM to 6AM) during Phase 3. Dates TBD.)

• The old exit ramp from Southbound I-95 to Westbound SR 273 will now be closed and the new ramp and intersection will now be open.
• The outside shoulder on the entrance ramp from Westbound SR 273 to Southbound I-95 will be restricted for construction vehicle access.
• Traffic on Westbound SR 273 will be shifted to the outside lanes over the I-95 bridge for repairs to the inside lanes. Once over the bridge heading west, traffic will be shifted back to the inside for completion of the pavement widening.
• Traffic on Eastbound SR 273 will be shifted to the outside lanes over the I-95 bridge for repairs to the inside lane.

Phase 4

Closures/Restrictions:

• Closed for Entire Phase – Exit ramp from Northbound I-95 to Eastbound SR 273. Advanced warning will be given before this ramp is to be closed.

• Traffic on the entrance ramp from Eastbound SR 273 to Northbound I-95 will be shifted to the inside for construction.
