TRAFFIC ALERT – New Castle County – Nighttime Lane Restrictions and a Closure on I-95
Tonight through next Wednesday
Christiana — The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that there will be lane restrictions and a closure on northbound and southbound I-95 between Route 1 and Route 273. The lane restrictions will be in place weeknights from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am. On the closure night, lane restrictions can start up to two hours before the actual road closure.
- Wednesday, February 1st, southbound I-95 will be closed.
- Thursday February 2nd, I-95 will be closed in both directions.
- Monday, February 6th, southbound I-95 will have a single right lane closed.
- Tuesday, February 7th, northbound I-95 will have a single right lane closed.
- Wednesday, February 8th, southbound I-95 will have a single left lane closed.
As a reminder, lane restrictions will be in place during the same time just south of Route 273, at the Chapman Road overpass.
This work is weather dependent. Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays moving through the area.
